Description
In Cai Jin's oil paintings, her interest in impressionism and bright colors is evident. One might imagine that the intense vibrancy of her paintings may be overwhelming, but there is still an lasting softness existing in the visual worlds she creates. In an interview with Tate she said,"In my art, I think that colour and brush strokes are important. The feeling of the painting emerges through these two elements." (Nicole Wang '26)
