Description
This oil painting was co-created by Lei Bao and Han-Sheng Feng (冯寒生). It adopts black, grey, and white palette to show a "cold' characteristic. The composition creates a 3D effect by adding light and shadow. By looking at the cup and other props inside the train, the painting seems to be a girl's reflection on the window of the train. A woman sits by the window, looking out. This is a part of the trend of "cold" painting in the mid-1980s, which showed an attitude against industrialization. (Angela Tan '28)
