Description
This work was shown in the '85 New Space exhibition at Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts. (Artists later established the "new space" group, which was renamed the "Pond Society") . This artwork shows a form that is semi-abstract and semi-representational. It places a woman within an abstract geometric space. She seems to be walking through the vast cosmos, and a space station is looming behind her. Its tone is objective and detached, suggesting an early shift toward Western Precisionism and Modernism (Angela Tan'28).
