Rev. & dear [Sir]
I got home on the 6th & found your kind note & its enclosure. I will make the list as complete as I can & send it you. I found a little note from my old [Presbyter] [?] Ba[rrow], now in Balt., enclosing a list of his [party]. You or some one else told me of a clergyman there who is very poor & aids himself by such [affusions], [his friends] taking them & giving him something, as it Ba[rrow]. If so, I should like to send him a little [matter].
My [kindest] rememberance to [W] Allen.
Yours affectionately
Cha[?]. P. McIlvaine
Rev. Dr. Allen
