My dear Bishop,
I expect to be in Balt. on the 21st to attend a meeting of the Trustees of the Peabody Fund for education in the South - & it will be convenient for me to [secure] at that time such papers connected with the Committee on the Course of Studies, as are in your [possession] & you may think proper to put in my charge as Chairman.
As soon as leisure shall permit, I will call on you. Sometime in May perhaps we may get a meeting of the Committee.
Your friend & brother
Cha[p]. P. McIlvaine
Right Rev.
W.R. Whittingham DD
