Revd. & dear Sir,
I trust I am not taking a liberty, in addressing to you these few lines, to express my grateful acknowledgments, for the [?] kindness of your note, written at the request of my dear friends at Horkesley, who are so anxious I should share with them, in the blessings they profess. Indeed dear sir I feel truly thankful to you for writing to me, & for feeling so kindly towards me. It is hardly possible for me to say, how much I value your letter, & how earnestly I desire to be enabled by the divine assistance, to walk according to the precious instructions therein contained.
May I venture to express the desire that your zealous & compassionate labours for the eternal interest of your fellow creatures, may be attended with all the success you can wish, and that the blessings you so extensively bestow upon others, may be showered down on yourself a hundred fold!
I remain Revnd. & dear sire with the greatest respect,
Your sincerely obliged
Arabella Godfrey
