Description
Before this performance, the artist spent 58 days releasing 1914 loaches, fish, and turtles back into their natural habitats and observing their behavior. He brought the biological information gathered from these living beings and incorporated it into his enlarged energy map. The map featured a mystical wheel, serpent totems, and a triangular iron frame depicting the Eye of God. The artist was covered in gold powder and sat on the map. He ignited the Eye of God to begin the ritual. During the ritual, he pierced his body with a needle three times to show the awe and growth of spiritual creatures with the touch of life and express his gratitude and piety to the ultimate wisdom with this sacred ceremony.
