Description

In Lighting No.7: Breeze-Ruffled Lotus at the Lightning (雷法之七: 曲院風荷), ink spreads outward from multiple points, forming vein-like networks. The forms closely resemble lotus petals. This diffusion process and repeated layers of ink produce textures that suggest organic growth and breathing. Thin white lines cut across the composition, breaking the circular pattern of the spreading ink. In Lighting No.8: The Eyes of Lotus Pond (雷法之八: 蓮池之眼), the composition is more open. A concentrated white burst at the upper center anchors the image. Also, it references the “eye” of the title. From this point, branching lines extend downward across the surface, resembling leaf veins. Rounded forms appear toward the lower edges, like the outlines of lotus petals.
