Description
"Straight" consists of 150 rods of steel reinforcing bar that were meticulously straightened by hand. These steel reinforcing bars were collected from the school that collapsed in 2008 sichuan earthquake. Poorly built schools in the Sichuan Province, propped up by steel rods that were mangled in the earthquake, were devastated, leaving thousands of students dead. The artist contented that the China's goverment should hold responsibility in the quality of the structure of schools. "Straight" have a rolling effect on the surface. looked from the side, straight resembled a Richter scale graph of an earthquake.
