Description
In Greek philosophy, epoché is the suspension of judgment, which means standing outside the roles of host and guest. To suspend oneself above the objective environment, observing things without emotion or value judgment. The artist “bombarded” the canvas with ink from mid-air via a helicopter. She allows the audience to observe this performance as individuals detached from the event. Audience witnesses ink freely dispersing under the influence of gravity, wind, and humidity.
