Description
In this work, sheets of scrolls have been folded into pleats and place atop glowing lights. The scroll faces contain layers of script including roman type, Chinese characters, and various symbols displayed in a palimpsest. Surrounding the scrolls are the mass of cables that connect the lights to a source of power. The blue hue of the lights and the horizontal organization of the scrolls evoke a likeness to computer chips when looked at from above. The artist may be playing at the hierarchy of information systems in the modern technological age. (Nicole Wang '26).
