Description
The “Water Closet” is a sculpture created from 1988 to 1993, after the artist emigrated to Austria. This sculpture is reductive and minimalistic, characterized by its sleek and rounded silhouette. From the front view, a curved square holds a square frame with a stick reaching out of it and a maraca-shaped wooden structure tied to it with a tight rope. The red colors in and out of the frame echo each other, creating a sense of dialogue. The wave painted in both black and red in the frame grants it a sense of dynamics and vibrancy.
