Description
This installation includes several of the "Mortise and Tenon" structured wooden blocks randomly arrayed on the gallery floor. Fu Zhong Wang (the artist) once noted in a writing that he wished the audiences could engage with the piece by moving and connecting (or disconnecting) the specially designed wooden blocks. By doing so, Fu implied, the work communicates not only the many (dis)connections we (as well as the blocks) make constantly, but also the contingency and uncertainty of our decisions -- "Where to piece the blocks?Where it will land? Who will conduct the move?" -- the questions will never acquire a certain answer.
