Description
This installation -- or arguably sculpture -- is comprised of a vast wooden door placed on -- sealed -- the ground, with scattered stones embracing the door. Scholar Sun Zhen Hua has conjectured that the door placed on the floor is an eloquent metaphor for closure, separation, and disjuncture: disjuncture of social classes, of material wealth, of spaces, of opinions; the list goes on.
