Description
"You Must Eat It" is one of the products of the "Meta-Ceramic Art Series" project. The artist reflects his concern on the impact of commerce fetishism swept across China in the 1990s in this piece. The prototype is a type of porcelain plate from Qing Dynasty. The character from "Ninja Turtle" with traditional traditional Chinese symbol(Wind-Fire Wheels, one of the weapons of Nezha, a protection deity in Chinese folk religion) is in the center of the plate, manifesting the seduction of imported culture.
