Description
Strings of neon lights with colors of red, blue, yellow and green are hung from the ceiling. A painting with a depiction of a triumphal arch is placed on the wall. At the top center, Chinese, English, and French characters of the “Triumphal Arch'' are written. Red neon lights are used to outline the Chinese characters. There are depictions of various animals, a sleeping figure with traditional Chinese clothing, and a map of part of Europe. Seafood like fish, lobster, and crab are created by various colors of neon lights, and are stuck on the work. On the floor, one big crocodile with its mouth open is constructed by yellow and orange neon lights. See links below for more photographs o this work. (Yifan Shang ‘25)
