Description
“In China, these ceramic dragons decorate the roofs of temples, palaces, graves and similar buildings. Originally, this decoration represented a desire to be united with the forces of the universe, but gradually they have become more of an authoritarian symbol. Perhaps these dragons, installed on the roof of the art museum, suit the image of art museums until now. However, the dragon which shows itself in the Scandinavian winter sky will probably bring a warm and romantic atmosphere.” (Fuchs, A., & Lund, E. (Eds.). (1997). Flying Dragons in the Heavens (A. Mester, Trans.). Denmark: Louisiana Museum of Modern Art.)
