Description
A large number of yellow rubber gloves are fixated upon a spiral (a total of six rounds) metal support. Within the gloves, the supports extend inward to the glove's insides from the spiral structure, helping the scattered gloves to erect to a degree, as if the pedals of a blossoming flower. At the center of the spiral structure, where the gloves embrace, sits a bronze pot. When light applies upon the installation, the metal surface of the pot reflect/refract parts of the illuminations, turning the pot itself into a parody of sun. What the "hands" are reaching to could be the suggested food in the pot -- Qiu here may want to hint the continually growing population in China consuming limited food resources; or it could be a radiating zenith of sun -- the glowing symbolism for hope, the spiritual "food" for the folks.
