William Lang of Newark was a visitor Saturday afternoon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Earl T. Sharp, W. Chestnut st. The 20th Century club met Friday evening at the home of Mrs. Dora Simmons, E. Ohio ave., with Mrs. Annama Briggs acting as assistant hostess. Mrs. Mary Daniels of Toledo installed the new officers for the new year. Refreshments were served by the hostesess. In Xenia Thursday for the commencement at Wilburforce university were Mrs. Floyd Walker and son, Floyd jr., Misses Celina and Emma Rose Simmons and Irene Sharp. Miss Corintha Walker received her degree from the school of cosmetology. Sgt. Samuel O. Little of Greensboro, N.C., spent Thursday with his wife, Mrs. Maureen Little, Elm st. The Egyptian Rally club of the AME church held a covered dish social Thursday evening at the home of Mrs. Sherman William, N. Morton st. Mrs. Richardson of Petersburg, Va., has been called here by the illness of her sister, Mrs. Glena Steward.
