By Irene Sharp (Mt. Vernon, Ohio)--Mrs. Dan Hill, jr., and son. Gary Daniel of Pennsylvania ave, and Mrs. Dan Hill, sr, of Johnson ave., left Saturday for Lincoln, Neb, Where they will spend a few weeks with their husband and son, Pvt. Dan Hill, jr., stationed at the Lincoln air base. Cpl. Gene Rouse, Fort Dix, arrived Thursday evening to spend several days with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Horace Rouse of Curtis st. Mrs. William Lang of Newark and Mrs. James Bryant of Colum bus were the guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Sharp of W, Chestnut St. Mrs. Daniel Cowen of S. Center st., left Thursday for Philadelphia, Pa, to visit her husband, Daniel Cowen, of the Navy. The Kentucky harmony singers, a quartet headed by Mrs. Louise Malone Braxton, who claims to be the only woman bass singer in the world, gave a program at the Wayman Chapel AME church Fri day at 8:15 p. m. Mrs. Braxton is a graduate of Tuskegee Institute, where one of her teachers was Dr. George Washington Carver. She is a singer by profession and her specialty is helping struggling colored churches by giving recitals for colored and white folk. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Chancellor were visitors in Columbus Sunday.
