Columbus Octr 4th 1828

Dr John

We forwarded you a [?] of [shoes], last week by the stage driver--they will be left at the stage house in Mount Vernon.

As your vacation is shortly to commence you had better write me the amt of money required to defray the expense of the Session, & I will send it by mail.

I have intended being at Kenyon, at the time of the Epicopal convention--but circumstances will prevent me--[we are] all anxious to see you at home, and think it time long until your arrival
