Dear sir,
I have received the favor of your note of the 16th Inst: with the letter for Mrs. H. More and the lists of subscribers to the fund you have raised by your benevolent exersions [sic] for the maintenance of the poor girl M. A. Watt, and rejoice with you in the success and favor that it has pleased God to give to your endeavors therein. The disposition made for the poor child’s support and education, by investing the money in the hands of Trustees, is most wise, and most be approved by every contributor, to the case.
