1829.
Dr. Brother:
Your good & excellent son Geo: came here a few hours ago bringing your good letter. I thank your Dr. Brother. But why did not James come with him? What are you afraid of shd. you send him here?
But I will not press you: but I do think it would be for his benefit to be with Geo: adn the rest of our excellent students.
N Dartmouth is as it used to be nothing but a miracle can save a youth from perdition as the same miraculous mercy did save me.
Let James come out with Mr. Williams and [Mary] Bachellor this fall and make happy your faithful and affectionate Br.
