To All the Faithful in Christ
Unto whom these presents shall come greeting. Know ye that the Reverend George Montgomery West Master of arts, Chaplain to the Right Reverend Philander Chase Bishop of the Diocese of Ohio in North America hath by our permission frequently preached and performed the Offices of a Priest in our Collegiate and Cathedral Church of Saint Patrick Dublin, We being first fully satisfied as to his Ordination & piety of life and because he produced to us diverse letters recommendatory and other Testimonies of his good conduct from several Prelates and Other distinguished Characters; and that We consider him to be a most zealous & pious Clergyman. In Testimony whereof We have caused our Deanery Seal to be hereunto affixed this 9th day of January in the year of our Lord 1828 eight.
