By the Tenor of these Presents be it known unto all now that we Philander Chase by Divine Permission Bishop of the Protestant Episcopal Church in the State of Ohio, solemnly administering Holy Orders, under the protection of Almighty God, in Worthington, on Thursday, the third day of June, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and nineteen, did admit into the Holy Order of Priests, our well beloved in Church, Intrepid Morse, of whose virtuous and pious life and conversation, and competent learning and knowledge in the Holy Scriptures, we were well assured; and him, the said Intrepid Morse, did then, and there, rightly and canonically ordain, a Priest, he having first in our presence made the subscription required by the General Ecclesiastical Constitution.
In Witness whereof we have caused our Episcopal Seal to be hereunto affixed. Dated the day and year above written, and in the first year of our consecration.
