Will Sir Thomas Bearing permit Bishop Chase of OHio to call his attention to the inclosed “Appeal” & statement in behalf of the Church of Christ in Ohio?
Without any more as acquaintance than the civilities of the later meetings would pardon, it may be tho’t improper that so great a favour as the perusal of these papers should be asked: yet such is the benevolent plan they embrace & in so much good will that plan, if finally successful terminate that a confidence is felt which few things else would inspire. [bir] that Sir Thomas will forgive this intrusion on his leisure, & permit what, when perused with attention, is seldom or never without effect.
