My dear Friend
I obtained this frank to send you any letter, or letters, which the Post of today may bring for you. I will see what there is of this kind, before I put in anything from myself. I did not know that you was to dine today with the Vice-Chancellor till after I had sent off my yesterday’s letter. I presume that you will stay long enough to-morrow to receive this, but, as you will have something to do here, and must leave Town on Saturday morning at nine, I do hope, if you do not come up by a Day Coach to-morrow, you will by a night Coach. Mr Ward expects us at Great Horkesley, within two miles of Rayland, on Saturday at 5 o’clock.
4 P.M. No letters for you. I shall fill the frank with something after I reach home.
