Transcript
To the Rev Saml Chase
By the desire of many and particularly the Ladies, I am requested to intercede in behalf of the Innocent Birds on the College Hill: and accordingly I do most respectfully request that you would make it known at Dinner, this day, in College Hall; that, hereafter, there be no gun fired within a half of a mile of the Chapel except to noxious animals and that by your permission, or that of the authorities of the College.
Faithfully yours
Phr Chase
