Letter of Introduction for Dudley Chase II

Date

Spring 3-24-1853

Keywords

Dudley Chase II, Bishop Burgess, Maine

Transcript

The Rev.Dudley Chase, son of the late venerable Bishop Chase of Illinois, has been known to me for many years, and has my entire respect, esteem and confidence . If, in his intended visit to England, he should at any time find himself capable of receiving any service from any words of mine, I desire to state that he is, in my belief, worthy of all reliance, as a faithful, discreet and [?] minister of Christ and of the church which his father served so long and well. I commend him to all who love the Lord Jesus Christ, and desire the prosperity a communion in theWest.
