Information Provided by Michael D. Bulmash: The Albert Ballin was a ship named after the Jew who had been on the personal staff of Kaiser Wilhelm and became instrumental in the rise of the shipping company of the Hamburg-Amerika Line. After the Nuremburg Laws of 1935 the ship was renamed Hansa. Thus it was not just people who had to undergo a name change consequent to the odious Nuremburg Laws.
