Photo of bombs- seen on left- dropped over Birkenau, known as Auschwitz II. Planes were on the way to bomb the I.G. Farben plant which was damaged in the run. Some bombs landed on Birkenau as well, but caused only light damage. Transport trains, which brought prisoners to Auschwitz, are standing by the platform. (Yad Vashem)
