The Bulmash Family Holocaust Collection consists of images, documents, and artifacts related to the Holocaust. The collection contains materials that depict a number of topics that may be difficult for viewers to engage with, including: antisemitic descriptions, caricatures, and representation of Jewish people; Nazi imagery and ideology; descriptions and images of German ghettos; graphic images of the violence of the Holocaust; and the creation of the State of Israel. For more information, see our policy page.

Description

Document marked “THE BRITISH BROADCASTING CORPORATIONS RACIAL MIX A.D. 2000” with two flags in the upper right corner surrounded by red banner labelled “ENGLISH SOLIDARITY AGAINST MULTIRACISM,” dated 1989.

Information Provided by Michael D. Bulmash:Birdwood rails against the BBC efforts to increase the number of ethnic minorities on its staff and the “evil nonsense” of Jewish “one-worldism” or, in her view, “the enforced togetherness of the races.” A rabid antisemite, Birdwood even advocated for revisiting the 700-year-old Edict of Expulsion against British Jews.
