Abstract

The Akhan Kervansaray before extensive renovation.

Description

Serving as a café today, the Akhan Kervansaray is located on the silk road, and was initially utilized as an inn for traders. It was built by Anatolian Seljuks; the covered part was completed in 1251 and the court was finished in 1252. It was Commissioned by Seyfittin Karasungur bin Abdullah. -CK
