Abstract
A metope on the Tholos in the Sanctuary of Athena depicting the Amazomachy, a mythical war between Greeks and Amazons.
Description
Metope depicting a nude soldier mounting a horse as part of the Amazomachy. This and the other metopes of the Tholos were heavily damaged when they were repurposed for building materials in Late Antiquity.
