This interview was conducted by Dr. Alexander Tolnay . Here, he questions Yuan Shun about his artistic inspirations and creative choices. Referencing the artist's works such as "Denkmal der Stadt" (City Monument), "Der Verbotene Stadt" (The Forbidden City), 'Thinking about yourself", 'The Trinity" and others, the pair discuss Yuan's use of hair in his artworks, growing up in the transitional period following the Cultural Revolution, Tiananmen Square, immigrating to Europe, and Buddhism.
