Description
When the artist published this series, he stated: “Human society is composed of power! Power is the most powerful aphrodisiac! The greatest desire of human nature is power.” This series takes the vertically raised clenched fist as the motif. Red appears in every painting, but takes on a different form in each: blood dripping from fingers bitten by swarming beasts; blood seeping from wounds inflicted by spikes; insects swollen with blood; wound left by maggots burrowing into the flesh; the bloodied bodies of crowds climbing over the fist; and veins bulging under the weight of parasitic pigs.(source: https://www.instagram.com/p/C_cg3_8xgiN/) (Angela Tan ‘28)
