Description
In the Archaeology of Waves series, each system operates in a cycle in what the artist calls a 波相 boxiang or “wave-image.” It means that every wave have own cyclical rhythm and time frequency. The artist uses ink’s “dark light” to explore notions of non-linear or cyclic time in the dynamic systems that constitute our scientific understanding of being. In the Ocean Wave, the artist uses ink to trace layers of surging textures, forming the cyclical motion of vortices and tides. In the Black Hole Wave, the black hole is understood as a form characterized by intense compression and attraction. It was represented through dense ink droplets. In the Geological Wave, it used radiating lines forming a visible pattern across the surface, presenting the process of gradual accumulation and outward expansion. In the Death Wave, it uses centerless ink diffusion, producing a visual state of continuous flow and mixture.
