Description
Ai Weiwei was arrested at Beijing Capital International Airport on charges of tax evasion.“S.A.C.R.E.D.” is an installation consisting of six iron units depicting scenes from Ai Weiwei’s 81 days of detention following his arrest. Each unit is built at half the scale of the real-life setting and represents one episode of his incarceration: (i) Supper, (ii) Accusers, (iii) Cleansing, (iv) Ritual, (v) Entropy, and (vi) Doubt. （Zhuocheng Jiang '26)
