Description
Law of the Journey is an installation artwork by Ai Weiwei, consisting of a 60-meter-long inflatable rubber boat filled with 300 faceless figures. Since 2015, when Ai Weiwei first went to Lesvos, Greece, and had close interactions with refugees, he has been deeply concerned with the global refugee crisis. As a victim of the Chinese diaspora, he is also personally connected to this issue. This artwork offers a special space to commemorate those unseen people from around the world who, for various reasons, were forced to leave their hometowns reluctantly. (Zhuocheng Jiang '26)
