Description

Although the artist is best known for his sculptures, "Female Figure", "Woman" and "Male Figure" marks a rare but significant exploration of painting within his oeuvre. Yet the work remains connected to his artistic language in sculptures. The composition translates his interest in geometric form, and abstraction of human bodies into a two-dimensional medium. Through the interplay of linearity, brushwork, and vivid streaks of color, the artist transforms the human form into an expressive field of tension between flesh and structure, veracity and order.
