Description
One space is divided into two rooms of equal space by a wooden plank. Two surveillance cameras, one monitor and two lights are installed into each room respectively. The light is turned on once the viewer enters the room. He/she becomes an observer of the other room through the camera and monitor screen. At the same time, he/she is being observed by the viewers from the other room. A special lock, which is designed to be unlocked one minute after a viewer’s entrance, is installed on the door of each room. This work was exhibited in the “Exhibition from China” in 1995 in the Arts Santa Monica in Barcelona, Spain.
