Description
This installation piece was presented by the artist at the Museum of Decorative/Applied Arts in Frankfurt, Germany, and spanned across several rooms. In this piece, multiple sculptures line the floor and each are visually reminiscent of mounds and caverns in nature . The 'earth skin' sculptures are painted various browns and greens and appear to be made of either papier-mâché or plaster. The walls are decorated with tapestries that further implicate earth, soil, and grass. The material of the tapestries appear to be textually similar to pleather. (Nicole Wang '26).
