Description
"Forbidden Nut" is a work exhibited in the artist's show "My Window-You Jindong Album Exhibition of Own Works." It consists of two parts. The first part is the painting itself, in which two naked Red Guards, a man and a woman, are exposed as having tasted the forbidden nut, which is represented by apples in the painting. The second part is 150 hats of Red Guard neatly displayed along the wall of the exhibition room, but the red stars on the hats are replaced with tomatoes. The artist planned to use apples, but apples were unavailable in that season, so he replaced them with tomatoes. (Zhuocheng Jiang '26)
