Description

The roundness of the large black spheres depends on the amount of air inside of them. Though it is not pictured here, this piece also incorporates multiple giant oblong shapes interwoven amongst the black spheres. The spheres seem to be made out of a soft plastic material. Given that the artist often concerns herself with the female body in her oil paintings, these sculptures may be attempting to start a conversation on femininity and the female body in a patriarchal society.
