Description
This painting is part of the artist's collection of serial works labeled "Faucet", but the exact series it belongs to is unknown. Yang has at least seven faucet series. In this painting, the hot pink color of the faucet strongly juxtaposes the black background. It is hard to ignore the sexual suggestions seen in this painting. The faucet is a strong solitary image that can only function when touched by a flexible hand. The artists often uses large canvasses for her paintings. For reference, Yang's paintings are often very large. The height this painting seems to be taller than the artist herself. (Nicole Wang '26).
