Description
The prominent space of this painting is divided into eight sections. Four of them depict young Chinese superstars in blue, black and white colors, and the other four depict middle-aged Chinese officers who are wearing green military uniforms. The background of these figures are painted in red. The artist utilized the red wall as a visual motif to set the bottom of this oil painting. At the lower-center of the composition, a large alarm clock is painted in white, black and gray. Inside the clock, the artist utilized very thin strokes to illustrate one scene of a Ming dynasty couple making out from the Chinese novel “The Golden Lotus” , and it is painted in a muddy yellow background.
