Description
Five processes seem to be required by this installation. The installation starts with 4 defaulted input of liquid. The four bottles of liquid then went through the first program -- of which perhaps involved filtering. The resulting (out-puting) four liquids from the first program were then taken as inputs for the second program, and acquired four different amount of liquids as a result. The process then repeated for three more time, amounting together to five times run-through of programs. In each process, ts results (was called "states") were observed and recorded, giving rise to a part of the artwork as a whole. The mechanical processes of input/output of an installation might play into Wang's metaphor for human knowledge/activity processing. A commonality is thus found in human and machinery works.
