Description
In the background of this work, a persimmon tree emerges from a saturated, graduating (from brighter to darker), blue, of which we can read as sky; below the blue "sky" we also observe some ochers interrupting the persimmon tree (perhaps is the earth). Next to the tree, an elder male is reaching to a persimmon, as if attempting to harvest it. Before the painted tree and figure, four other figures -- complete or lack -- are "collaged" -- perhaps painted -- to the painting. The figures seem to be caught up in the progress of dancing, judging from their intimate holding of hands (or hands rested on other figures' waist) and their interlacing steps. (Jerry Wu'23).
