Description

The artist Qiu customized several peculiar ceramic potteries for this installation. Though varied in details, these potteries share many formal similarities: the bases of the "cooking pots", for examples, are all designed to resemble the shape of female human breasts; the handles on some of the pots, for another, take the male phallus shape. One of these "cooking pot", one could claim, is androgenic in its merging of both male and female genital imageries. (Jerry Wu'23).
