Description
“From 0 to the End,” the multi-media installation by Wang Gongxin, presents a long table, draped with black cloth. Eggs dyed red cover the entirety of the top surface. A light hanging from above illuminates one end of the egg covered table. Upon first glace, the individual eggs become almost indistinguishable from one another. The eggs, representing fertility, in combination with the color red, symbolizing fortune, overpower the viewer with notions of prosperity. (Russ, Hannah ‘18)
